Pokémon TCG
Schedule
Please note that this schedule is not finalized and is subject to change at any time.
Official Tournament Format
Pokémon will be run in a Swiss format where the number of rounds are based on attendance. Information about the exact number of rounds being played can be found in Pokémon’s official Tournament Rules and Resources.
Each round, an announcement will go out via speaker declaring when pairings will be shown. Paper pairings will be placed near the center of the venue. Keep close attention to when rounds are called as being late to a match can result in penalties.
All players will be grouped into one division rather than being split between Juniors, Seniors, and Masters.
All players will have a meal break after Round 4 lasting one hour. Pairings will be posted during the break. All players must be present at their matches after the hour break ends.
All competitors must comply with Pokémon’s official rule set.
The SLG Open will be run on the Standard format. Cards with “H” regulation marks and beyond are legal for tournament play.
The main event is hard capped at 144 players, so register quickly to claim your spot!
Gym Leader Challenge
The SLG Open will also be hosting an official Gym Leader Challenge event! This event will also be run in a Swiss format just like our main event.
Those who want to sign up for this can do so here. If you are still in the main event when the GLC event starts, you may get a full refund upon request. The event will start at 05:00 p.m. and an announcement will be made before it starts.
The GLC format is run using cards from BLW-on. More information about the event can be found on the official website for Gym Leader Challenge.
We will also be complying with GLC’s current ban list which can be found here.
The GLC event is hard capped at 64 players, so register when you still can!
